Job summary

APBA TG Human Resource Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a responsible Laboratory Assistant to support school-based nutrition and food science lessons. You will prepare materials for FCE/NFS lessons, collate ingredients, and set up trays for practical classes while keeping all work areas clean and organized.

Strong communication, basic math, and initiative are important as you manage stock, coordinate purchases, and ensure timely daily operations within a 7:30am–3:30pm schedule.

Qualifications

• GCE 'O' Level qualification
• Basic Math knowledge
• 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar environment
• Positive attitude, initiative and ability to work under tight schedules
• Good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials for FCE and NFS lessons
• Collate, order, portion and distribute ingredients for practical classes
• Set up trays and materials according to lesson requirements
• Ensure unit tables, sinks and stoves are cleaned after daily lessons
• Clean and store utensils and equipment properly
• Collate teaching requirements and coordinate purchases/orders
• Check materials purchased and verify supplier deliveries against invoices
• Monitor stock levels and replenish when needed
• Maintain records of food purchase bills
• Conduct annual stock take and regular equipment maintenance
• Clean refrigerators and ensure food studios and preparation rooms are kept clean
• Carry out major cleaning of kitchen tables, cupboards and equipment at the end of each term
