Job summary

GMP Recruitment Services (S) PTE LTD is seeking a skilled Project Scheduler/Planner with 3-5 years' experience to develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. The role requires evaluating progress, managing critical paths, and coordinating with engineers, subcontractors and project teams in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate should have a Diploma or Degree in Engineering or related field, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in Excel

Responsibilities

• Coordinate subcontractor schedules and prepare weekly/monthly progress and schedule performance reports.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• 1. Project Planning and Scheduling Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead schedules and periodic schedule updates in accordance with project requirements. Establish activity sequences, durations, dependencies, key milestones and critical path activities. Review project schedules to ensure alignment with project scope, contractual requirements and execution plans.
• 2. Progress Monitoring and Schedule Control Monitor actual project progress against the approved baseline schedule and identify deviations or potential delays. Track critical path activities, key milestones, engineering deliverables, procurement activities and construction progress. Collect and verify progress updates from project managers, engineers, construction teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders. Analyse schedule performance and provide early warnings on activities that may affect project completion dates. Maintain accurate records of schedule updates, revisions, progress and changes.
• 3. Delay Analysis and Recovery Planning Identify schedule risks, slippages and potential bottlenecks that may impact project milestones. Conduct schedule impact assessments and support the evaluation of delays and changes to the project execution plan. Prepare recovery schedules and assist project teams in developing mitigation measures to minimise delays. Recommend corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness in bringing project activities back on track.
• 4. Coordination and Reporting Review subcontractor schedules and coordinate their activities to ensure alignment with the overall project schedule. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, look-ahead plans, milestone trackers and schedule performance reports. Participate in project planning, coordination and progress meetings, providing updates on schedule status, risks and required actions. Work closely with project management, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning teams to ensure timely execution of project activities. Support project management in planning, resource coordination and other project controls activities.

Job Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, with hands‑on experience in developing and maintaining project schedules.
• Good understanding of project planning methodologies, critical path analysis, schedule performance monitoring and delay recovery planning.
• Experience in engineering, construction, CSA, MEP or similar project environments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with project progress reporting and schedule analysis tools.
• Strong analytical, organisational, coordination and communication skills.
• Able to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced project environment.
