Job summary

Manpower Staffing Services (S) Pte Ltd is seeking a Project Planning and Scheduling professional to develop, maintain and monitor detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. You will track progress against baselines, identify deviations, and support the project team in achieving milestones.

The role requires a degree in Engineering or related discipline and hands-on experience in schedule planning, critical path analysis, and delay recovery planning within engineering/construction

Job description

Support project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring across engineering and construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules using Primavera P6, tracking project progress against approved plans, identifying potential delays, and supporting the project team in achieving key milestones.

Project Planning and Scheduling

• Develop, maintain and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline schedules, look-ahead schedules and periodic schedule updates in accordance with project requirements.
• Establish activity sequences, durations, dependencies, key milestones and critical path activities.
• Review project schedules to ensure alignment with project scope, contractual requirements and execution plans.

Progress Monitoring and Schedule Control

• Monitor actual project progress against the approved baseline schedule and identify deviations or potential delays.
• Track critical path activities, key milestones, engineering deliverables, procurement activities and construction progress.
• Collect and verify progress updates from project managers, engineers, construction teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders.
• Analyse schedule performance and provide early warnings on activities that may affect project completion dates.
• Maintain accurate records of schedule updates, revisions, progress and changes.

Delay Analysis and Recovery Planning

• Identify schedule risks, slippages and potential bottlenecks that may impact project milestones.
• Conduct schedule impact assessments and support the evaluation of delays and changes to the project execution plan.
• Prepare recovery schedules and assist project teams in developing mitigation measures to minimise delays.
• Recommend corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness in bringing project activities back on track.

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in project planning, scheduling or project controls.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, with hands-on experience in developing and maintaining project schedules.
• Understanding of project planning methodologies, critical path analysis, schedule performance monitoring and delay recovery planning.
• Experience in engineering, construction, CSA, MEP or similar project environments.
