Job summary

Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) seeks a seasoned professional to drive satellite regulatory work and cross-border collaborations. You will help shape Singapore's space-enabled ICT strategy, coordinating with ITU and other regulators to advance national interests.

The role focuses on NTN in 5G/6G, architecture options, and coordinating with terrestrial networks while ensuring RF safety and spectrum efficiency. Strong teamwork and stakeholder engagement are essential.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical and electronics engineering with a focus on info-communications or telecommunications.
• Experience in satellite communications is preferred.
• Knowledge of ITU Radio Regulation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review and administer Singapore’s satellite regulatory framework and liaise with ministries and regulators.
• Engage in ITU activities for satellite networks and coordinate with international regulators.
• Explore NTN development for 5G/6G and assess integration with terrestrial networks.
• Study regulatory landscapes and ensure RF interoperability and safety considerations.
