Job summary
IBM Consulting in Singapore is seeking a SAP Technical Lead to design, develop, and deliver SAP ABAP solutions across S/4HANA implementations and transformations. You will guide teams, engage clients, and ensure high-quality outcomes throughout projects.
The role requires 8–12+ years of SAP ABAP development experience with leadership background, deep knowledge of ABAP OO, DDIC, and SAP integration technologies. Onsite travel may be involved as part of client engagements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent
- 8–12+ years of SAP ABAP development experience, with at least 2–3 years in a lead role
- ABAP Objects (OOP) and modular programming
- Data Dictionary (DDIC) and performance tuning
- ALV Reports, SmartForms, SAP Scripts, Adobe Forms
- Interfaces: IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, Web Services
- Hands‑on experience with SAP S/4HANA and HANA concepts (CDS Views, AMDP)
- Experience leading SAP implementation or transformation projects
- Strong knowledge of integration frameworks and APIs
- Proven ability to design scalable and high-performance SAP solutions
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end SAP ABAP development across implementations, rollouts, and transformation projects (S/4HANA)
- Architect and design scalable technical solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and SAP best practices
- Oversee development of RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)
- Guide the adoption of modern SAP technologies including CDS Views, AMDP, Fiori, and OData services
- Ensure system performance, code optimization, and adherence to development standards
- Own technical deliverables, timelines, and quality across SAP development workstreams
- Participate in solution design workshops and provide technical advisory to clients
- Manage development lifecycle including design, build, testing, and deployment
- Drive code reviews, quality assurance, and compliance with IBM delivery frameworks

- Experience across multiple SAP modules (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, HR)
- Familiarity with cloud-based SAP deployments (RISE with SAP)
