St Andrew's Mission Hospital is seeking an Enrolled Nurse to provide compassionate clinical and personal care to elderly residents. You will work under supervision to support doctors, therapists, and caregivers in delivering high-quality care.

You will monitor vital signs, administer medications, assist with daily living activities, and participate in care planning and team handovers. An emphasis is placed on infection control, documentation, and holistic resident well-being.

Qualifications

• Nurse licensed and registered with the appropriate nursing council.
• Ability to monitor vitals and recognize abnormalities.
• Administer medications and perform basic procedures under supervision.
• Support residents with chronic conditions and daily living activities.
• Respond to emergencies with basic life support.
• Provide emotional and psychosocial support to residents.

Responsabilités

• Supervise care staff to ensure residents’ hygiene and comfort during daily care activities.
• Monitor and record vital signs and report abnormalities.

• Assist in managing chronic conditions and rehabilitation activities.
• Respond promptly to emergencies and provide basic life support if needed.
• Provide emotional support and encourage participation in rehabilitation and recreation.
• Coordinate follow-up medical appointments and transport as needed.
• Maintain infection control standards and safe environment.
• Maintain accurate nursing records and communicate with doctors and family.
• Participate in handovers and care planning meetings.
• Assist in training HCAs and work with multidisciplinary teams.

The Enrolled Nurse (EN) plays a crucial role inproviding quality care to elderly residents. They work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) and collaborate with doctors, therapists, and caregivers to ensure residents receive the best possible medical and personal care.

1. Nursing & Clinical Care

• Supervise Care Staff to ensure residents’ good personal hygiene and comfort, with daily nursing care activities such as bathing, feeding, dressing, and mobility support for residents.
• Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, temperature, respiration) and report abnormalities.
• Administer medications and perform simple medical procedures (e.g., wound dressing, injections) under RN supervision.
• Assist in managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and dementia.
• Respond promptly as First Responder to emergencies and provide basic life support (BLS) if needed.

2. Resident Well-being & Support

• Provide emotional and psychological support to elderly residents.
• Encourage and assist residents in participating in rehabilitation activities and recreational programs.
• Coordinate and arrange the follow up medical check-up and medical appointments for the residents, including transport and escort services

3. Infection Control & Safety

• Maintain infection control standards to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Follow nursing home protocols and guidelines for handling medical waste, hygiene, and fall prevention.

4. Documentation & Communication

• Maintain accurate nursing records and reports on residents’ conditions and treatments.
• Communicate effectively with doctors, therapists, caregivers, and family members.
• Participate in handover briefings and care planning meetings with the healthcare team.

5. Collaboration & Teamwork

• Assist in training and supervising Healthcare Assistants (HCAs).
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for residents.
• Support Registered Nurses in care planning and execution.
