Role Overview
The role supports R&D laboratory operations by carrying out routine laboratory activities, including paint preparation, test panel preparation, and airless spray application, ensuring all tasks are completed within agreed timelines. Responsibilities include performing basic laboratory testing and analysis, assisting chemists in product development projects, maintaining accurate inventories of materials, and maintaining a safe, clean, and secure working environment. The role also involves updating the line manager on work progress and ensuring compliance with ISO, environmental, and safety standards, including safe chemical handling practices.

Job Responsibilities
Carry out laboratory support tasks for R&D activities, including paint making, panel preparation, application testing, evaluation, and benchmarking.
Participate in trial applications and inspections outside laboratory conditions under supervision.
Perform laboratory analytical tasks, including sampling, testing, measuring, recording, and analysing results for paints.
Assist the chemist in development projects, and support laboratory housekeeping, material stock control, and other routine laboratory needs as required.
Communicate effectively with the line manager regarding progress and delays.
Ensure compliance with ISO, environmental, laboratory management, safety, and health regulations and rules at all times, including proper handling of materials and chemicals in accordance with company procedures and preventive measures to reduce risk.
Support Quality Assurance (QA) functions through product testing, inspection, and quality compliance verification.
Ensure workplace safety and security.
Undertake other job functions as assigned from time to time.
