Job summary

GMP Technologies in Singapore is seeking a Sales Manager (Steel Products) to lead domestic and overseas steel sales efforts. The role requires managing relationships with mills and customers, expanding business overseas, and driving revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in steel merchandising, a network of industry contacts, and a proven ability to meet aggressive sales targets. Willingness to travel for business is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or related field.
• Proven experience in steel merchandising and trading.
• Familiar with hot rolled coil, cold rolled coil, GI, etc.
• Minimum 8 years experience in a multinational company.
• Established network of customers within the industry.
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and results-driven mindset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel for business.

About the job Sales Manager (Steel Products)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the sales of flat steel products as well as expanding the business overseas.
• Develop excellent business relationships with existing mills, customers, identify potential clients to create new business opportunities.
• Ensure customers' needs and expectations are met through proactive relationship management.
• Drive business strategy set by the management to increase sales of steel products.
• Monitor market trends and competitive market information to identify new sales opportunities with aggressive sales action to improve steel sales.
• Prepare reports and presentations.
• Research, analyze and give recommendation on various opportunities in the marketplace to maximize earnings and to achieve sales target.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
• Proven experience in steel merchandising and trading
• Must be familiar with steel products including Hot rolled coil, Cold rolled coil, GI (Galvanised), etc
• With a minimum of 8 years of experience working in a multinational company
• An established network of customers and contacts within the industry, with a demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth
• Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and a results-driven mindset
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Willingness and ability to travel when required for business purposes
