Job summary

S&P Global Market Intelligence seeks a senior professional to drive data architecture for sales compensation, building a centralized data platform and governance framework. You will partner with Finance, Sales Ops, and Tech to ensure clean, validated data and scalable reporting for leadership.

You will lead the data platform lifecycle, implement automated reconciliation, and translate complex contracts into reusable data models, while mentoring a high-performing analytics team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in sales compensation, data architecture, data governance, financial systems, sales operations, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in database building, schema design, data warehousing, ETL, and advanced SQL across large datasets.
• Ability to identify and implement tools that consolidate data sources into a unified single source of truth for commissions and reporting.
• Experience with script-based reconciliation or automation tools (e.g., VBA, Python/Pandas, SQL, Alteryx).
• Experience establishing data governance policies, automated reconciliation, and SOX-compliant audit trails.
• Ability to translate complex deals into clean, reusable data structures for system processing.
• Experience developing Power BI dashboards and executive-level reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead data architecture for sales compensation and build a centralized source of truth for commissions and reporting.
• Manage and develop a high-performing analytics team; set goals and allocate resources.
• Oversee data platform lifecycle, including schema design, tool selection, and maintenance.
• Design automated reconciliation and standardized adjustment processes for data integrity.
• Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to shape data warehouse architecture and ETL workflows.
• Translate complex commercial contracts into structured data constructs for systems.
• Establish enterprise data governance, traceability, and SOX-compliant trails.
• Produce sales performance analytics and data-quality metrics for leadership.
• Communicate data and architecture concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
