Job summary

Qualifications

• Education in technical or scientific fields.
• Prior military experience in high-risk vocations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Reinforce ground safety supervision and ensure consistent safety enforcement across the unit.
• Sustain and enhance unit safety knowledge management systems and processes.
• Develop and implement safety protocols for special operations that enable mission success while maintaining safety standards.
• Foster a strong safety culture in the unit.
• Conduct safety assessments and risk evaluations for training activities and operations.
• Coordinate safety training programmes and briefings for personnel across different entities.
• Monitor and report on safety performance indicators and incident trends.
• Enabling personnel to view safety as an operational enabler that allows them to do dangerous things safely, and not as an inhibitor to operational outcomes.
• Ensuring a strong safety culture at every level where every soldier takes ownership of safety, especially with the unit's decentralised nature.
