Job summary

XIN CHENG SG PTE. LTD. is seeking a Safety Officer to help implement and maintain our Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies at our Singapore sites.

The role involves conducting inspections, risk assessments, incident investigations, safety training, and coordinating with supervisors and authorities to ensure compliance and continuous improvement of safety practices. Ideal candidates will have strong organizational skills, good communication, and the ability to work independently across

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of Singapore WSH requirements and safe work practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining WSH policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and identify hazards.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct safety briefings and inductions for workers.
• Prepare and maintain risk assessments, SWP, permits and other safety documents.
• Monitor compliance with safety rules and statutory requirements.
• Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe practices; assist in incident reports.
• Coordinate safety training and safety-related activities.
• Ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
• Liaise with supervisors, workers, contractors and authorities on safety matters.
• Maintain records of inspections, training, incidents and actions.
• Promote a strong safety culture and continuous safety improvement.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining the company's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and identify unsafe conditions, acts and potential hazards.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions to ensure safety issues are properly addressed.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and safety inductions for workers.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining risk assessments, Safe Work Procedures (SWP), permits and other safety documentation.
• Monitor workers' compliance with company safety rules and statutory requirements.
• Investigate workplace incidents, near misses and unsafe practices, and assist in preparing incident reports.
• Coordinate safety training, inspections and safety-related activities.
• Ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and other safety equipment.
• Liaise with supervisors, workers, contractors and relevant authorities on safety matters when required.
