Job summary

DELCO ART INTERIOR PTE LTD is seeking a Safety Officer to identify risks, review safety controls, and ensure compliance across the site. You will inspect machinery, verify certificates, and enforce MOM regulations while coordinating with operations on health and environmental issues. A minimum of 5 years in construction safety with WSH qualifications is required; strong leadership and MS Office skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• WSH qualifications and a Certificate in WSH are required.
• Certified Safety Management Officer.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on health and safety experience in building construction.
• Strong knowledge of the WSH Act and related compliance.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizing skills and independence.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Identify, review and assess workplace risk.
• Ensure all site machinery and equipment have working certificates.
• Conduct daily safety inspections and enforce MOM regulations.
• Assist with issues related to safety, health and environmental control.
• Liaise with site operations on safety and health issues.
• Ensure systems and processes comply with regulatory requirements.
• Perform Safe Management Officer duties.
• Ensure workers wear appropriate PPE at all times.
• Handle any other duties as assigned.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Assist to identify, review and assess risk arising from the workplace;
• Ensure all machinery and equipment at site are in good working conditions and having all the necessary working certificates;
• Conduct daily site safety inspection and enforce compliance on prevailing MOM Safety Acts and Regulations and other requirements;
• Assist to attend all issues related to workplace safety, health and environmental control;
• Liaise closely with site operations staff on all safety and health issues;
• To ensure all systems and processes are in compliance with regulatory requirements;
• To perform Safe Management Officer duties;
• Ensure all workers at site are wearing appropriate PPE at all times;
• Any other duties that may be assigned.

Job Requirements

• Possess of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) qualifications, Certificate in WSH;
• Certified in Safety Management Officer;
• Possess at least 5 years of practical work experience in the field of health and safety in building construction;
• Good knowledge of WSH Act and other WSH related compliance;
• Possess good leadership, good communication skills, organising abilities and independent;
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel and Power Point
