MENLO RESEARCH PTE. LTD. is seeking a software engineer to turn Asimov’s actuators and sensors into a working robot, writing code that runs on the robot, talks to subsystems, and ships open source software.

You will own features end-to-end, integrate locomotion, perception, and autonomy modules, and build tooling to speed up the team. You’ll work with hardware, controls, and research engineers on real hardware deployments.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong C++ and Python, and full proficiency with Linux.
• Hands-on experience with ROS 2 or comparable robotics middleware.
• Solid grasp of concurrency, networking, and systems programming.
• A methodical debugger who can work with real hardware.
• Ability to document code and communicate clearly.

Responsabilités

• Build and maintain core robot software for Asimov, from hardware interfaces to services and APIs.
• Own features end to end from spec to deployed code on real robots.
• Integrate locomotion, perception, and autonomy modules into a stable onboard runtime.
• Develop tooling for deployment pipelines, logging, telemetry, test harnesses, and sim-to-real workflows.
• Debug across the full stack, from sensors to memory leaks on onboard compute.
• Contribute to Menlo's open-source repositories and documentation.
• Collaborate with hardware, controls, and research engineers to unblock projects.
