Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) is seeking a software engineer specialized in simulation and real-time systems to develop platforms for mobile robot fleets in manufacturing and logistics. You will design modular simulation components and build data pipelines to interface with industrial systems, MES, and automation platforms.

Experience with game engines or robotics simulation tools is valued, along with ROS/ROS2, Python, and C++.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years in software engineering for simulation, real-time or autonomous systems.
• Strong programming in Python and/or C++.
• Experience with APIs, data pipelines, or simulation apps.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop simulation modules modeling manufacturing and logistics systems and mobile robot fleets.
• Build modular simulation components configurable across environments.
• Develop data pipelines and APIs for integration with industrial systems.
• Apply event-driven, state-machine, and time-synchronisation concepts to simulate real-world behaviour.
• Assist in digital twin development and sim-to-real fidelity assessment.
• Work with Unity, Unreal Engine, Gazebo, AnyLogic, SimPy, NVIDIA Isaac Sim, or Omniverse.
• Define test cases, KPIs, and sim-to-real validation methods.
• Prepare technical documentation and engage in sprint reviews.
• Collaborate with robotics, automation, and software teams.
