CYGNIFY PTE. LTD. is seeking a Robotics Scientist to advance Embodied AI for real-world industrial robotics.

This role emphasizes Learning from Demonstration, contact-rich manipulation, and adaptive skill acquisition with strong emphasis on translating research into practical solutions. The ideal candidate will work on designing experiments, developing ML/DL models, and deploying prototypes in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

PhD in robotics or related field; equivalent industry experience considered for Senior Scientist role.
Hands-on experience with robot arms/manipulators is required.
Experience with Learning from Demonstration and imitation learning is essential.
Strong applied research mindset with ability to translate research into real-world solutions.
Proficiency in Python and/or C++ and working with ROS/ROS2.

Responsibilities

Conduct applied R&D in Embodied AI for robotics, focusing on LfD and manipulation.
Design and run experiments to collect and analyse demonstration data for intelligent robotic behaviours.
Develop ML and DL algorithms for robot perception, manipulation and decision-making.
Translate research outcomes into prototypes and deployable solutions.
Integrate multimodal perception, motion planning, and force/torque feedback into systems.
Collaborate with robotics engineers, software developers and researchers.
Engage with stakeholders and industry partners for real-world deployment.
