Job summary

XSQUARE Technologies in Singapore is seeking a hands-on Fleet Management Software Engineer to build backend services coordinating AGVs, AMRs, and autonomous forklifts in warehouse environments. You’ll focus on fleet-level software, including task dispatch, scheduling, and WCS integration.

You will work with Python, C++, Java, Go and ROS, designing scalable, distributed systems while collaborating across software, robotics, and deployment teams to deliver robust fleet-management solutions.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python, C++, Java, Go or equivalent backend language.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, concurrency and networking.
• Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, MQTT, TCP/IP or similar protocols.
• Understanding of asynchronous communication, timeouts, retries and state synchronization.
• Experience in fleet-management, robotics, or distributed software projects.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Proactive team member who collaborates across software, robotics and deployment teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain software services for robot assignments, task dispatching, mission execution and fleet monitoring.
• Develop algorithms for task allocation, scheduling, traffic coordination and charging coordination.
• Develop and maintain VDA 5050-compliant interfaces and integration with WCS and third-party fleets.
