RECRUIT NOW SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Lead Automation Engineer in Singapore to lead design, implementation, and sustainment of automation and robotics across a manufacturing facility.

You will drive projects from concept through commissioning while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency and scalability. The role requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years' experience in industrial automation and robotics, with hands-on robot programming for ABB, Fanuc,

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
At least 5 years delivering industrial automation and robotics projects.
Hands-on programming experience with ABB, Fanuc, UR or KUKA robots.
Strong PLC programming and industrial control systems knowledge (Beckhoff TwinCAT 3, EtherCAT, motion control, TwinSAFE).
Experience managing automation projects, vendors, FAT/SAT, and system integration.

Responsibilities

Develop automation architecture and standards for PLCs, robotics, motion control, and networks.
Design, program, and commission industrial and collaborative robots with vision, HMI, and drives.
Translate manufacturing needs into automation specs and acceptance criteria.
Lead projects from concept to commissioning and handover.
Manage schedules, budgets, vendors, and system integrators; coordinate FAT/SAT.
Utilize offline planning tools (RobotStudio, ROBOGUIDE) for cell design.
Program Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 PLCs, EtherCAT and TwinSAFE implementations.
Perform IQ/OQ/PQ validation and maintain engineering documentation.
Implement process control plans and automation risk assessments.
Monitor KPIs like OEE and FPY to drive continuous improvement.
Develop preventive maintenance and training programs.
Collaborate with EHS, Quality, Maintenance, IT to ensure safety.
