Job summary

Recruit Express Services Pte Ltd seeks a Senior Automation Engineer to lead design, maintenance, and optimization of industrial automation systems in a plant environment. You will ensure reliability, drive continuous improvement, and implement advanced automation solutions across processes.

The role requires 5–8 years in industrial automation, with hands-on work with ABB 800xA DCS, Schneider and Siemens PLCs, and Fix32 SCADA.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Automation Engineering or related field.
5–8 years of experience in industrial automation, preferably in food & beverage or FMCG sectors.
Led automation projects and resolved complex system issues with minimal production impact.
Proficiency with ABB 800xA DCS, Schneider/Siemens PLCs, and Fix32 SCADA.

Responsibilities

Lead maintenance and reliability programs for automation systems to maximize uptime.
Drive design, development, and integration of new automation systems and process improvements.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for critical automation issues.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards, and procedures.
Provide technical leadership in system architecture decisions and modernization efforts.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams; mentor junior staff.
