Job summary

HOPE Technik in Singapore is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead robotics automation projects, including PLC programming, embedded firmware development, and system integration across on-site and remote commissioning. You will design and optimize controls for our robotic platforms and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes working with ABB robotics, Robot Studio simulations, and Siemens PLCs, with a strong focus on OOP, hardware schematics, and real-time firmware on STM32

Qualifications

2–3 years of professional experience in automation or robotics.
Proficiency in programming articulated robots; ABB robots preferred.
Understanding robot coordinates and PLC/HMI programming (Siemens preferred).
Strong grasp of OOP concepts.
Degree in Automation, Electrical or Mechatronics.
Familiar with STM32 family controllers and RTOS is a plus.

Responsibilities

Robotics engineering: program articulated robots and simulate trajectories.
Code development: PLC programming and embedded firmware on hardware systems.
Testing and product development: debug and prototype new automation projects.
Commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites and remotely.
Develop communication pathways to edge devices using standard protocols.
