Job summary

Garena is seeking an enthusiastic Roblox game developer for either a three-month internship or a full-time project-based contract. You will propose and build gameplay features, seasonal updates, and new content to drive engagement, retention, and monetisation.

You will prototype gameplay loops, economies, rewards, and social systems. You’ll own features from concept through iteration, using feedback, performance data, and team reviews to craft player-centric solutions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in CS or Game Design preferred but not required.
• Portfolio demonstrating game design and implementation through academic/personal projects or professional experience.
• Proficiency in Luau and Roblox Studio, or experience with Lua, C#, or C++.

Responsibilities

• Propose and build gameplay features, new content, and seasonal updates for Roblox games to improve engagement, retention, social interaction, and monetisation.
• Design and prototype gameplay loops, progression, game economy, rewards, balancing, social systems, and player motivation.
• Own features from concept through iteration using feedback, data, and reviews to develop player-centric solutions.
• Implement production-ready gameplay systems in Roblox Studio with focus on technical quality and timely delivery.
• Integrate UI, animation, VFX, assets, data, and other components to deliver complete player experiences.
• Participate in planning, playtesting, debugging, optimisation, and continuous product improvement, communicating risks early.
• Stay current with Roblox platform updates, tools, and industry practices.
