ASICS Asia Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead daily store operations, deliver outstanding customer service, and maximise sales in a dynamic brand environment. Experience with budgeting and inventory control is a plus.

You will coach and develop team members, implement promotions, maintain visual standards, and ensure compliance with ASICS policies and procedures. Strong communication in English and willingness to work nights/weekends are required.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of retail experience with at least 2 years in supervision.
• Proven ability to exceed sales and manage payroll goals while developing top talent.

We are looking for a Retail Store Manager to:

• Lead in maximizing sales and profitability through the effective management of store operations and excellent customer service
• Show strong commercial awareness and implement initiatives to drive sales performance.
• Give clear directions, advice, support and guidance to staff, focusing on the delivery of the required standards of customer service and sales.
• Oversee all shop administration ensuring all head office instructions are actioned and staff fully advised of product changes and developments as necessary. To implement any promotional or training initiatives as required.
• Ensure operational excellence is achieved in the back of house areas and that the stores achieve compliance with ASICS Policy & Procedure, operational core competencies, key accountabilities and legal standards.
• Directly responsible for Loss Prevention and Operational compliance within store.
• Ensure execution and maintenance of all Visual Guidelines as well as guaranteeing the visual presentation of the Store always meets or exceeds ASICS standards.
• Working alongside HR, to recruit, train, retain and develop high quality team members.

Knowledge & Experience

• Preferably possessing at least 4-6 years of retail experience, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience (previous sports/ footwear retail experience preferred)
• Proven ability to exceed sales while meeting payroll goals, demonstrated ability to identify, hire, train, develop and retain top talent. Ability to reason through complex issues, demonstrates effective communication, ability to present information to large groups and facilitate store visits
• Retail operations, budgeting, planning, customer service, people development and management
• Extensive experience in leading a top level of customer service in a brand retailer

Personal qualities/skills

• Excellent skills needed in communication (written & oral) delegation, teamwork, flexibility, proactiveness, stress resistance and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with customers and store personnel, manoeuvre around sales floor, stockroom and store office; lift and carry 30 lbs / 13.61 kilograms
• Open availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, store openings and closings according to the needs of the business
• Good computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
• Able to effectively communicate in English (both written and verbal)
