Job summary

People Profilers Pte Ltd is seeking a Retail Associate / Retail Assistant (Luxury) to support daily store operations in a premium environment. You will manage store processes, maintain presentation standards, and help drive sales while ensuring outstanding customer service for discerning shoppers.

The role requires at least 2 years in retail, preferably with experience in premium or luxury segments, and the ability to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• GCE O Levels or Diploma in Retail Management, Business Administration, Hospitality or related discipline preferred.
• 2 years in a retail outlet role.
• Experience in premium/luxury retail, FMCG or hospitality advantageous.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management and sales performance.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with discerning customers.
• Commercially minded with understanding of sales targets, KPIs and cost management.
• Hands-on, proactive in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Willingness to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

This role is suited to a Retail Executive who understands the expectations of a premium retail environment and is confident managing both people and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

• Oversee the daily operations of the retail outlet, ensuring smooth and efficient store performance.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, housekeeping, product presentation and overall store appearance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, food safety and workplace safety requirements.
• Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling and daily store administration.

Sales & Commercial Performance

• Drive sales and profitability by achieving outlet sales targets and key performance indicators.
• Monitor daily and monthly sales performance and identify opportunities to improve revenue and customer conversion.
• Implement promotional activities, campaigns and seasonal initiatives in line with company direction.
• Monitor product performance and provide feedback on fast-moving, slow-moving and high-margin products.

Customer Experience

• Deliver a consistently high level of customer service aligned with the standards of a premium grocery brand.
• Build strong relationships with customers and ensure their needs and expectations are well addressed.
• Handle customer feedback, enquiries and complaints professionally and effectively.
• Maintain a welcoming, polished and service-oriented environment within the outlet.

Requirements

• GCE O Levels/Diploma in Retail Management, Business Administration, Hospitality or a related discipline preferred.
• 2 years in a retail outlet role.
• Experience in premium retail, luxury retail, specialty retail, FMCG or hospitality will be advantageous.
• Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory management and sales performance.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with discerning customers.
• Commercially minded with good understanding of sales targets, KPIs and cost management.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Hands-on, proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment.
