Job summary

JOBSITE.COM PTE LTD in Orchard, Singapore, is seeking a retail associate to welcome customers, provide product information, and support sales and store operations. You will help with inventory, pricing, and display of preowned luxury items, while also assisting with social media content and simple photography.

Your role involves engaging customers, maintaining store presentation, and following company procedures for cash handling and inventory control. Weekend and public holiday hours apply.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail, customer service, luxury goods, fashion, e-commerce, or social media is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Xiao Hong Shu is an advantage.
• Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin, and other languages is an advantage to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Retail Operations: Welcome and assist customers, provide product information, styling suggestions, and recommendations.
• Handle sales transactions, receipts, refunds, and exchanges per company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of sales, inventory, consignment items, and customer inquiries.
• Assist with receiving, tagging, pricing, and displaying preowned luxury goods.
• Support content creation and publishing on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Xiao Hong Shu.

Job Responsibilities

• Retail Operations:
• Welcome and assist customers in a professional & friendly manner.
• Understand customers' needs and provide product information, styling suggestions, and recommendations.
• Assist with sales transactions, receipts, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies.
• Maintain an accurate record of sales, inventory, consignment items, and customer enquiries.
• Support receiving, checking, tagging, pricing, and displaying of preowned luxury goods.
• Assist with basic product checks and highlight any visible defects, wear, or issues to the supervisor.
• Keep the store, display areas, and merchandise clean, organised, and presentable.
• Support packing, order fulfilment, deliveries, and other day-to-day store duties.
• Follow company procedures relating to customer service, cash handling, inventory control, and store security.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to retail operations as assigned.
• Social Media and Content Support:
• Assist in content creation and publishing on various platforms (i.e. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Xiao Hong Shu).
• Take basic photographs and short videos of products, the store, styling ideas, and promotional activities.
• Draft simple captions and product descriptions under the guidance of the assigned employee or supervisor.
• Support content scheduling, posting, and responding to basic comments or enquiries according to company guidelines.
• Monitor relevant fashion, luxury resale, and social media trends.
• Ensure that product information and promotional content are accurate and consistent with company instructions.
• Obtain approval before publishing content, where required.
• Handle customer and product information responsibly and maintain confidentiality.

Job Requirements

• Familiarity with Xiao Hong Shu is an advantage.
• Previous experience in retail, customer service, luxury goods, fashion, e-commerce, or social media is an advantage.
• Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin, and other languages is an advantage to meet customer needs.
• Interest in luxury fashion, designer brands, vintage items, or sustainable fashion.
• Friendly, service-oriented, and comfortable communicating with customers.
• Good attention to detail, especially when handling product information and inventory.
• Comfortable using smartphones, social media applications, and basic digital tools.
• Able to create simple photos, videos, captions, and product listings.
• Willing to learn authentication, product-care, inventory, and store procedures.
• Reliable, responsible, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Able to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays, according to the roster.
