Job summary

TANOKE is hiring a friendly Restaurant Service Associate in Singapore. You will welcome guests, present menus, take orders, and serve dishes to high standards. Training will be provided, with emphasis on learning the menu, sake offers and ongoing promotions.

The role supports reservations, events and routine cashiering, and requires flexibility for evenings, weekends, and public holidays. A minimum 44-hour week is expected and immediate availability is preferred.

• Responsible, punctual and willing to learn.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to remain composed during busy service periods.
• Comfortable working split shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and assist them throughout their dining experience
• Present menus, explain dishes and take food and beverage orders accurately
• Serve food and beverages according to the restaurant’s service standards
• Learn TANOKE’s menu, sake offerings and ongoing promotions
• Set up and clear tables before, during and after service
• Attend to guest requests and communicate feedback to the supervisor or manager
• Assist with reservations, table arrangements and group bookings
• Support private events and special restaurant operations
• Assist with opening, closing and basic cashiering procedures
• Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of the dining areas and service stations
• Replenish operating supplies and assist with stocktaking when required
• Communicate closely with the kitchen and service teams
• Identify what needs to be done and take the initiative to assist the team

ABOUT TANOKE

Located within a conserved heritage shophouse on Purvis Street, TANOKE is a modern Japanese restaurant and sake bar offering contemporary Japanese cuisine, thoughtfully curated sake and warm hospitality.

With expansion plans in the pipeline, we are growing our team and looking for a friendly and dependable Restaurant Service Associate who takes pride in delivering an enjoyable dining experience.

No prior F&B experience is required, although previous restaurant or customer-service experience would be an advantage. Training will be provided.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

TANOKE’s dining and service areas are situated across two floors within a conserved shophouse.

The role requires team members to move frequently between both floors using the stairs while carrying trays, tableware, food, beverages and other service items. Candidates must be able to perform these duties safely throughout the shift.
