We are looking for a hands-on and service-driven Restaurant Manager to lead the day-to-day front-of-house operations of the outlet. The incumbent is responsible for delivering an excellent, consistent dining experience, building a strong service team, and driving the outlet's operational and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth, efficient and consistent front-of-house service
- Lead, schedule, train and motivate restaurant crew, captains and service staff to deliver excellent customer service
- Own the guest experience - handle customer feedback, complaints and service recovery promptly and professionally
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure seamless coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house
- Monitor and control outlet costs, including manpower, inventory, wastage and consumables, against budget
- Manage cash handling, POS operations, daily sales reconciliation and reporting to management
- Ensure the outlet complies with SFA food safety and hygiene regulations, licensing and other statutory requirements
- Maintain the outlet's cleanliness, ambience and presentation in line with brand standards
- Recruit, onboard, train and develop restaurant staff, including performance reviews and succession planning
- Manage supplier and vendor coordination, stock ordering and inventory levels at the outlet
- Support the planning and execution of promotions, events and marketing initiatives in collaboration with HQ
- Prepare operational reports and provide regular updates to management on outlet performance
Requirements
- At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in restaurant management or F&B supervisory roles; experience with Chinese, Taiwanese or other Asian dining concepts is an advantage
- Strong leadership, people management and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-service orientation
- Able to multi-task and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Familiar with POS systems, basic inventory management and MS Office / reporting tools
- Possess a valid Food Hygiene Certificate (or willing to obtain one)
- Willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays as required by the restaurant's operating hours
- Passion for Taiwanese cuisine and culture will be a strong plus
