Job summary

Roswell Enterprise Pte. Ltd. is looking for a courteous Host/Hostess to warmly welcome guests, seat them, and handle reservations in a fast-paced Singapore restaurant. You will maintain a clean dining area and help manage waitlists to ensure smooth service.

The role requires strong interpersonal skills, multitasking ability, and basic computer proficiency with reservation systems and MS Office. Weekend and evening shifts at Quayside Isle, Sentosa may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a Hostess role in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with warm, friendly service.
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks with strong attention to detail.
• Friendly and professional demeanour, calm under pressure in a busy setting.
• Basic computer skills and experience with reservation systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests on arrival and seat them at their tables.
• Manage reservation system and take phone bookings.
• Ensure dining room is clean and tables well-presented at all times.
• Manage guest flow and support waitstaff to provide efficient service.
• Assist with waitlist management and communicate wait times to guests.
• Support general restaurant operations including bussing tables and cleaning/sanitising.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greeting guests as they arrive at the restaurant and seating them at their table
• Managing the restaurant's reservation system and taking phone calls to book tables
• Ensuring that the dining room is clean and well-presented at all times, with all tables set and ready for guests
• Managing the flow of guests in and out of the restaurant, ensuring that waitstaff can provide efficient service
• Assisting with the management of the restaurant's waitlist, communicating wait times to guests
• Assisting with general restaurant operations as needed, including bussing tables and assisting with cleaning and sanitising

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience as a Hostess or similar role in a fast-paced restaurant environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to provide warm and friendly service to guests
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to detail
• A friendly and professional demeanour, with the ability to remain calm and composed in a busy restaurant environment
• Basic computer skills, with experience using reservation systems and basic Microsoft Office programs
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and evenings in Quayside Isle, Sentosa
