Job summary

GovTech Singapore is seeking a Responsible AI & Governance Manager to shape how AI is governed across the organisation. You will develop practical governance frameworks, operationalise AI policies and partner with teams to ensure safe, responsible deployment while enabling innovation.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong judgement and structured thinking.
• Ability to balance innovation with risk management.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Strong written communication and policy drafting abilities.
• Experience working across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to translate principles and policies into practical operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain GovTech's Responsible AI governance frameworks.
• Translate AI principles and policies into practical implementation guidance.
• Design governance artefacts, assessment methodologies and operating procedures.
• Support teams in adopting responsible AI practices throughout the product lifecycle.
• Design and continuously improve governance processes for AI initiatives.
• Coordinate governance forums and decision-making mechanisms.
• Support governance reviews of higher-risk and higher-impact AI use cases.
• Develop governance playbooks, templates and operating procedures.
• Promote risk-based governance approaches that enable safe experimentation and innovation.
• Monitor governance effectiveness and propose improvements where necessary.
• Work closely with product, engineering, cybersecurity, legal, procurement, data governance and enterprise architecture to ensure governance is practical and aligned with delivery realities.
• Monitor developments in AI governance globally and benchmark approaches.
