Job summary

QINGJIAN REALTY (SOUTH PACIFIC) GROUP PTE. LTD. is looking for a Resident Engineer in Singapore. The role involves managing technical supervisors on site, ensuring regulatory compliance and supervising structural works to meet BCA criteria.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Managing a team of technical supervisors on site to ensure that all works comply fully with regulatory and client’s requirements
• Work closely with Professional Engineers, regulatory authorities and contractors to provide planning, design and supervision leadership not only to solve site problems, but also to ensure timely completion of the projects
• Carry out supervision of structural works by identifying any non-conformity of contractor’s works on site
• Understanding of industry legislation / requirements especially to comply with BCA’s criteria
• Implement the site supervision quality and safety assurance system
• To carry out regular site checks on contractor & ensure compliance with health and work safety in accordance with MOM regulation
• Attend site progress meetings with the project team
• Ensure that proper site documentation for ongoing works, site meetings, and safety record, as built submissions, inspection record etc., are well managed.

Requirements

• Degree in C&S Engineering from a University accredited by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Must be accredited as a Resident Engineer with BCA / IES / ACES
• Min. 5 years’ site working experience in Singapore
• Experience in high-rise residential projects
• Strong knowledge of C&S details, working drawings, shop drawings and C&S construction method
• Strong knowledge of BCA requirements and regulation for construction works on site
• Conversant with industry building codes and regulations
• Good supervisory and leadership skills
