Job summary

GREENMARK CONSTRUCTION PTE. LTD. is seeking a civil site supervisor to oversee contractor works on site in Singapore.

You will supervise civil and structural activities, ensure works comply with drawings, specs and method statements, and monitor drainage-related construction to prevent disruptions. The role requires a degree in civil engineering or equivalent, with at least 3 years as an RTO, strong project management and communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor civil and structural works carried out by the contractor.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Monitor the construction of roadside drains, concrete drains, drain connections, culverts and related drainage works.
• Check setting-out, levels, alignment, gradients and dimensions of drainage works.
• Monitor excavation, earthworks, formwork, reinforcement, concreting and backfilling activities.
• Ensure proper connection of new drains to existing drainage systems and monitor tie-in works.
• Inspect existing roadside drains and report any defects, damage or site constraints affecting the works.
• Coordinate with the contractor on temporary drainage, diversion and water-flow arrangements to prevent flooding or disruption during construction.
• Check materials delivered to site and ensure they comply with approved material submissions and specifications.
• Witness and record relevant site inspections, testing and quality-control activities.
• Identify and report non-conforming works, defects and safety concerns to the RE/consultant.
• Maintain proper daily site records, inspection records, site photographs and progress updates.
• Monitor the contractor's work progress and highlight delays, site issues and potential programme impacts.
• Coordinate with the RE, contractor and other relevant parties regarding site works and interfaces.
• Ensure works are carried out with minimum disruption to residents, pedestrians, road users and existing services.
• Assist the RE in measurement, progress verification and preparation of site records for completed works.
• Verify completed works before recommending them for inspection, testing and acceptance.
• Assist in checking as-built information and records upon completion.
• Carry out any other C&S site supervision duties assigned by the RE/consultant in accordance with project requirements.
