Job summary

AAREEYES PTE. LTD. requires a highly experienced Resident Technical Officer to lead civil project supervision in accordance with project specifications and drawings.

The role emphasizes quality control, safety, and regulatory compliance on site in Singapore. The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and is registered as an RTO with at least 15 years of relevant experience in building and civil construction projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and registration as RTO.
• Minimum 15 years' experience as an RTO in civil projects.
• Experience in quality control and site supervision.
• Familiarity with Building Control Act and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain quality control and ensure works follow project specs, drawings, and site instructions.
• Check and supervise work per contract documents ensuring methods and materials meet standards.
• Ensure contractors comply with Building Control Act, regulations, codes, and building authorities.
• Liaise with engineers on review/approval of design calculations and drawings.
• Review project drawings and specs, flag discrepancies before and during construction.
• Observe site safety and submit reports, ensuring work is carried out safely.

Job Description & Requirements

Candidate must possess a Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering Registered as Resident Technical Officer. Minimum 15 years of working Experience as an RTO in building and construction civil projects.

• Maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the project specifications, design , approved drawings, and site instructions by the supervising qualified persons and project consultants.
• Check and supervise the work according to the contract documents and ensure that the methods, procedures and materials used comply with the prevailing statutory standards.
• Ensure that the contractors carry out their work in compliance with Building Control Act and Regulations, Codes of Practices and requirements of building authorities and government agencies.
• Liaise with the engineers on the review and approval of design calculations and drawings Assist Engineer/ QPs in their supervisory and coordination duties.
• Review all project drawings and specifications, and raise any discrepancies and/or possible problems before construction work commence on site and progressively throughout the entire course of the project.
• Observe and comply with site safety, and submit all reports as directed and ensure that works are carried out in a safe and proper manner.
