Job summary

Yantron (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking a Resident Technical Officer (Civil/Structural) to supervise construction works and ensure compliance with approved drawings and regulations on a Lim Chu Kang Road project.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering, is accredited by IES/ACES and possesses a valid RTO Practising Certificate, with at least 3 years of relevant experience. Travel to the site is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• RTO Practising Certificate and IES/ACES accreditation required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Civil & Structural Resident Technical Officer.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Consultant in supervising structural construction works per Building Control Act and regulations.
• Supervise Contractor works to ensure compliance with drawings, specs and quality standards.
• Maintain proper site documentation and inspection records.
• Monitor piling, precast segment installation, bearings and expansion joints for bridge works.
• Verify defect rectification has been completed satisfactorily.
• Monitor and track defect rectification to meet required standards.
• Attend joint site inspections with residents when required and address feedback.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Consultant and Developer.
• Must arrange own transportation to commute to project site at Lim Chu Kang Road.

• Supervise and inspect the Contractor's works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Ensure proper site documentation and inspection records are maintained.
• Monitor construction activities, including piling works, precast segment installation, bearings, and expansion joints for bridge construction works.
• Verify that the Contractor has satisfactorily completed defect rectification works.
• Monitor and track defect rectification to ensure compliance with the required standards.
• Attend joint site inspections with residents, where required, to understand and address their feedback or concerns.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Consultant and Developer.
• Must have own transportation to commute to the project site at Lim Chu Kang Road.

Job Requirement

• Possess a recognised Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering acceptable for registration with IES/ACES.
• Must be accredited by IES/ACES and hold a valid Resident Technical Officer (RTO) Practising Certificate.
• Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience as a Civil & Structural (C&S) Resident Technical Officer.
• Employment Type: 1-year contract
• Annual Wage Supplement (AWS): 1 month's salary (pro-rated where applicable).

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
