Job summary

A-STAR TESTING & INSPECTION (S) PTE. LTD. seeks an experienced Mechanical and Electrical Engineer to supervise major construction works in buildings or utilities services, lead MCE site staff, monitor progress and ensure quality and safety on site.

The ideal candidate has at least 8 years in M&E engineering with proven supervision, strong leadership, and familiarity with codes, interfaces, and progress reporting. On-site role based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience as a mechanical/electrical engineer.
• Proven supervision of major construction works.
• Degree recognized by Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Lead MCE site staff to monitor, supervise and inspect works as directed.
• Coordinate MEP interfaces and maintain interface registers and logs.

Job description

Key Requirements:

• a. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as a mechanical and electrical engineer, of which at least 8 years shall be in supervision of works similarin nature to the Works, i.e. in particular major construction works in buildings or utilities services laying and testingand commissioning.
• b. Possess a Mechanical or Electrical engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• c. Lead MCE site staff to monitor, supervise and inspect works as directed by CLIENT, QP (MEP and/or the project consultants and FUI owners. He must possess good leadership qualities, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• d. Conversant with statutory code and requirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report.
• e. Possess strong supervision and leadership skills.
• f. Proficient in coordination of MEPinterfaces and experience in maintaining interface registers and evidence logs in supportof resolving integration and interfacing issues.
