Job summary

Univerz HR Consulting Pte Ltd seeks an experienced MEP Engineer to oversee mechanical and electrical engineering activities, FS, procurement and construction for Singapore projects.

The candidate will plan, program and monitor M&E works, coordinate with clients, consultants and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with safety and company policies while driving on-time completion.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience on Singapore building/construction projects.
• Experience in electrical/mechanical systems for high-end villas.
• Hands-on knowledge of electrical/mechanical engineering.
• Strong communication to coordinate with site teams.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for project planning, programming and monitoring M&E works and overseeing the project.
• Monitor and report progress of work to manager.
• Control progress of RFA, RFI, Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions and Equipment/Material Procurement/Fabrication/Delivery Status for on-time completion.
• Coordinate with client’s representatives, consultants, and subcontractors on all technical matters, including submission of method statements, drawings, materials, samples and progress.
• Ensure MEP projects conform with company policies and objectives.
• Carry out inspection of MEP works prior to concreting or subsequent construction works.
• Assist in supervising and coordinating MEP services with other departments.
• Participate in project review/site/design meetings and other project meetings.
• Conduct M&E technical meetings and resolve technical issues with records.
• Coordinate M&E drawing coordination and production of service drawings.
• Conduct QA/QC inspections and ensure compliance to schedule.
• Ensure quality of MEP workmanship and safety/environmental requirements.
• Carry out all site inspections and ensure all M&E works are in order.

The MEP Engineer isresponsible for all aspects of mechanical and electrical engineeringactivities, processes, FS, procurement and construction of projects.

The successful candidate must:

• Responsible in projectplanning, programming and monitoring process of M&E works and overseeingthe project;
• Monitor and report onthe progress of work to manager;
• Control the progress ofRFA, RFI, Shop Drawings, Technical Submissions and Equipment/MaterialProcurement/Fabrication/Delivery Status for on-time completion.
• Coordinate with client’srepresentatives, consultants, and subcontractors on all technical matters,including submission of method statement, drawings, materials, samples and workprogress;
• Ensure mechanical andelectrical engineering projects, initiatives, and processes and in conformancewith the Company’s established policies and objectives;
• Carry out inspection ofMEP works prior to concreting or subsequent construction works;
• Assist in supervisingand coordinating MEP services work closely with other departments;
• Participate in allrelevant project review meetings, site meetings, design meetings, and otherproject relevant meetings;
• Responsible for carryingout M&E technical meetings and resolving technical issues with record.
• Responsible for M&Edrawing coordination and production of CSD and individual service drawingsquality.
• Responsible forconducting QA/QC inspection, managing RE, RTO and responsible for clearingQA/QC inspections to meet with construction schedule.
• Ensure quality of MEPworkmanship and compliance with safety and environmental requirements
• Carry out all siteinspections and ensure all M&E works are in order.

Requirements:

• Degree inElectrical/Mechanical Engineering;
• Minimum 5 years’ workexperience related projects in Singapore building and construction industry;
• Electrical/MechanicalEngineering experience in high-end villas;
• Possess strongElectrical/Mechanical knowledge with hands-on experiences;
• Strong communicationskills with the ability to coordinate with site teams to execute work
