Job summary

L.S. CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer to ensure compliance with project specifications, construction drawings, and the Building Control Act on site in Singapore. You will oversee the construction process, maintain records, and provide guidance to field teams.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, Residential Engineer Certificate, and strong knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, and project management tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field.
• Residential Engineer Certificate.
• Knowledge of construction methods, materials and relevant regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and lead by example.
• Proficient in using engineering software and project management tools.
• Familiarity with HDB construction guidelines and protocols is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, construction drawings, and the Building Control Act and Regulations.

• Provide comprehensive support and assistance as directed by the Superintending Officer and/or Professional Engineer.
• Review and evaluate the Contractor’s temporary works to ensure safety and compliance with applicable regulations.
• Verify that the Contractor’s work procedures align with the approved method statements and relevant workplace safety and health regulations. Where necessary, instruct modifications to ensure full compliance.
• Conduct inspections of completed works and prepare a list of defects, if required.
