Job summary

WISE SAFETY & HEALTH PTE LTD is seeking a Resident Engineer to supervise civil/infrastructure works on site in Singapore. You will ensure compliance with drawings, specs, contract requirements and authority regulations, while conducting regular inspections to verify quality and progress.

The role requires familiarity with local construction practices, and a 5.5-day work week. You will coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities, review technical documents, and support

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Registered as a Resident Engineer.
• Fit for work for daily site walks and supervision.
• Experience supervising civil/structural/infrastructure works.
• Familiar with Singapore construction practices and codes.

Responsibilities

• Represent the client in supervising and monitoring construction activities.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements and relevant authority regulations.
• Conduct regular site inspections and verify the quality and progress of works.
• Review method statements, shop drawings, material submissions and other technical documents.
• Monitor contractors' work schedules and highlight delays, defects or non-compliance.
• Coordinate with the client, consultants, contractors and relevant authorities to resolve site and technical issues.
• Witness inspections and testing, and maintain proper site records, reports and documentation.
• Monitor rectification works and ensure outstanding items are properly closed out.
• Attend site, technical, progress and coordination meetings.
• Support testing, commissioning, completion inspections and project handover.
