Job summary

HRnet Ventures Pte Ltd - CREW by HRnet is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to provide on-site engineering support across construction projects, ensuring technical, quality, and safety standards are met.

The role involves coordinating with project teams, consultants and contractors, reviewing drawings, supervising works, and maintaining accurate documentation while managing multiple priorities on site.

Qualifications

• Registered Resident Engineer (RE) certificate in Singapore.
• 3–5 years of relevant construction experience.
• Knowledge of building regulations and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Review project specifications, approved drawings and Building Control requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and maintain project records.
• Provide technical support to Superintending Officer/Professional Engineer as required.
• Review contractors’ temporary works for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor contractors’ procedures against method statements and WSH requirements; suggest improvements.
• Conduct site inspections to verify works and identify defects or non-conformities.
• Coordinate with contractors, engineers and stakeholders to ensure smooth progress.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join a leading construction team. You will be responsible for providing engineering support throughout project execution,ensuring works meet the required technical, quality and safety standards.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with project teams, consultants and contractors while gaining exposure to large-scale construction projects and furtherdeveloping your engineering expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and ensure construction works comply with project specifications, approved drawings and applicable Building Control requirements.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities and maintain accurate project documentation and records.
• Provide technical support and assistance to the Superintending Officer / Professional Engineer as required.
• Review contractors’ temporary works to ensure they meet safety and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor contractors’ work procedures against approved method statements and Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements, recommending improvements where necessary.
• Conduct site inspections to verify completed works and identify any defects or non-conformities.
• Coordinate closely with contractors, engineers and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project progress.

Requirements

• Registered Resident Engineer (RE) certificate in Singapore is mandatory.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant construction experience.
• Good knowledge of building regulations, safety requirements and construction practices.
• Strong communication, coordination and site management skills.
• Able to work independently on-site and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Candidates with relevant experience in construction supervision and project coordination are encouraged to apply.
