Job summary

A-STAR Testing & Inspection (S) PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a senior civil/structural engineer to lead supervision of major building projects, structural steel works and drainage.

The candidate will oversee CCS site staff, ensure quality control, and maintain strict safety and reporting standards. Applicants must hold a civil/structural engineering degree accredited by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore and be accredited with JAC IES and ACE Singapore.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years in civil/structural engineering.
• At least 5 years supervising works of similar size/complexity in buildings, structural steel works and drainage.
• Degree in civil/structural engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• Accredited with JAC IES and ACE Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Lead CCS site staff to monitor, supervise and inspect works as directed by CLIENT, QP(S), QP(Geo) and project consultants and FUI owners.
• Demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills on site.
• Ensure adherence to statutory codes, quality control procedures, construction administration and timely progress reporting.

Job description

Key Requirements:

• a. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience as a civil C structural engineer, of which at least 5 years shall be in supervision of works in projects similarin size and complexity; in particular major construction works in buildings, structural steel works and drainage.
• b. Possess a civil and structural engineering degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board of Singapore.
• c. Be accredited with the Joint Accreditation Committee of the Institution of Engineers Singapore and the Association of Consulting Engineers Singapore.
• d. For supervision of T5A roof, RE (CCS) with supervision experience in long span steel roof of more than 40m span is preferred.
• e. Lead CCS site staff to monitor, supervise and inspect works as directed by CLIENT, QP(S), QP(Geo) and/or the project consultants and FUIowners. He must possess good leadership qualities, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• f. Conversant with statutory code andrequirements for site supervision, quality control procedures, construction administration and submission of progress report.
• h. Possess strong supervision and leadership skills.
