Job summary

ARCHITECTS 61 PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a Resident Architect to manage consultants' site staff, oversee construction, and ensure compliance with regulations and client requirements for project completion and handover. You will review drawings, coordinate with Qualified Persons and contractors, lead the site team, monitor progress, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
• At least 10 years local experience in site supervision of major buildings.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, Singapore regulations, and construction practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the architectural site staff and consultants.
• Review drawings and specifications; flag discrepancies on site.
• Resolve technical problems to ensure on-time completion.
• Maintain quality control per specs and drawings.
• Monitor progress schedules and site documentation.
• Coordinate fit-out works with operators and contractors.

Job description

The Resident Architect will be managing consultants' site staff team to project completion and handover, ensuring compliance with regulations and client requirements.

Responsibilities

• architectural site staff
• entire consultants' site staff team
• Support and assist in the duties as directed by him and/or the supervising Qualified Person(s)
• Review all project drawings and specifications, and raise any discrepancies and/or possible issues on site and progressively throughout the entire course of the project
• Identify and resolve technical problems that may arise during construction, ensuring successful and timely project completion and handover, and to liaise with the supervising Qualified Person(s) and the relevant consultants on any design or coordination issues.
• Supervise the construction and related works, maintain quality control and ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with project specifications, approved drawings and sketches, product or system specifications, contractor's method of statements, installation and working procedures and site instructions by the supervising Qualified Person(s) and project consultants.
• Monitor project progress schedule
• Ensure proper site documentation for ongoing works, site meetings, safety records, method of statements, shop drawings, as-built submissions
• Coordinate with operators or users and contractors to facilitate the installation of fit-out works

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture from any recognized tertiary institution recognized by Board of Architects, Singapore, or Accreditation with professional bodies of equivalent standing as Board of Architects Singapore
• Possess at least 10 years of local working experience and site supervision of major building works, architectural elements and finishing works
• Knowledge of building and architectural details, fit out works, working drawings and construction practice
• Knowledge of computer 3D programmes
• Conversant and familiar with Singapore Statues, Codes and Regulations
• Strong leadership skills
• Good track record
• Experience in large-scale mixed use, commercial, institutional projects
• Proven ability to manage, oversee and lead site staff team
• Possess a strong understanding of architectural principles, building codes and construction techniques
• The Resident Architect shall be assigned to site full time.
