Job summary

Plaza Premium Lounge in Singapore is seeking a Reservations Clerk to handle reservations by mail, phone, and central reservation systems, ensuring accuracy and timely responses. You will coordinate with the front desk and other departments, confirm bookings, and apply hotel policies on guarantees and no-shows.

The role involves managing cancellations, updating availability, and responding to inquiries to maintain smooth operations and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Processes reservations by mail, telephone, central reservation systems referral.
• Processes reservations from the sales office, other departments, corporate companies and travel agents.
• Knows the type of rooms available as well as their location and layout.
• Knows the credit policy of the hotel and how to code each reservation.
• Determines room rates based on the selling tactics of the hotel.
• Prepares letters of confirmation.
• Communicates reservation information to the front desk.
• Processes cancellations and modifications and promptly relays this information to the front desk.
• Understands the hotel's policy on guaranteed reservations and no-shows.
• Tracks future room availabilities on the basis of reservations.
• Handles daily correspondence. Responds to inquiries and makes reservations as needed.
