A*STAR RESEARCH ENTITIES in Singapore is seeking a Research Officer to join our lab and contribute to rapid single-molecule detection and sequencing projects.

You will conduct wet lab experiments, prepare findings for publications, and manage daily lab operations while collaborating with a skilled team. A strong background in molecular biology and data analysis is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or a related field.
• Experience in lab research with yeast display, FACS, enzyme and DNA assays, protein expression and purification, nanopores or microscopy preferred.
• Proficiency in basic molecular and cell biology techniques (PCR, DNA/RNA extraction, sequencing, fluorescence microscopy, cloning).
• Strong data analysis and presentation skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to document clearly and contribute to team discussions.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct wet lab experiments including protein purification and assays using fluorescence microscopy and nanopore sequencing.
• Prepare research findings for publications, reports and presentations.
• Oversee day-to-day project operations and collaborate with team members to support lab activities.
• Manage daily lab tasks such as inventory and ordering.
• Perform literature searches and data analysis; assist in progress reports.
• Maintain high standards of conduct and record keeping per policies; assist with related duties as assigned.
