Job summary

Genome Institute of Singapore, A*STAR seeks a Research Officer to support wet-lab work for ATOMIC, a platform integrating automated experimentation, single-cell genomics and AI to accelerate discovery. You will perform cell culture, perturbations and genomics workflows in a collaborative setting.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's or Master's in life sciences, with hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in molecular biology, biotechnology, life sciences or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology.
• Experience in single-cell sequencing, CRISPR perturbations or laboratory automation is advantageous.
• Strong organisational, interpersonal and troubleshooting skills, attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Perform cell culture, drug treatments and genetic perturbation experiments.
• Conduct single-cell genomics workflows, including sample preparation, library construction and quality control.
• Develop, optimise and troubleshoot experimental methods for scalable perturbation profiling.
• Work with automation and computational teams to establish reproducible workflows.
• Maintain experimental records, standard operating procedures and laboratory supplies.
