Job summary

TumCreate in Singapore is seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow/Associate in the domain of Secure Operating Systems. You will integrate GyroidOS into a quantum safe secure RISC-V platform and research PQC algorithms' performance impact on secure systems. Research Fellow / Research Associate (Secure Operating System)
Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled researcher in the domain of Secure Operating Systems (OS). You will be responsible for integrating GyroidOS (https://gyroidos.github.io), a leading-edge secure‑operating system, into a quantum safe secure RISC‑V platform. You will research how well new PQC algorithms integrate in secure OS concepts like secure boot or trusted boot and the impact of PQC signature schemes on remote attestation. You will benchmark the impact of hardware accelerators implemented in QUASAR on the performance of the overall system.

This is a fixed term contract until March 2029.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and benchmark the impact of PQC algorithm on the performance of a secure system.
  • Collaborate with experts in design automation, IC design, and security to enable leading‑edge hardware security solutions and IC design.
  • Write scientific manuscripts, contribute to project reports, and present findings at international conferences and stakeholder meetings.
  • Proven expertise in the domain of operating systems, secure software design, or secure embedded systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate complex analytical results to multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, international research environment.
Qualification Requirements
  • We are seeking for candidates with a
  • Master’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related fields with focus on security, embedded systems, or operating systems.
  • PhD degree related to embedded security or operating systems.
  • Candidates expecting to fulfil one of these requirements within 2 months after application are welcome to apply.
  • Publications in the domain of embedded software security at premier conferences and in premier journals are considered a strong asset.
