Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Conduct engineering design, analysis, and prototype development for automation and advanced manufacturing projects.
  • Support system integration, testing, validation, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting.
  • Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Work with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and research partners to support project execution.
  • Conduct experiments, analyse results, and implement design improvements.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with project, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Contribute to innovation activities, including technology development, intellectual property, and knowledge sharing.

Job Description

The Research Engineer supports the development and deployment of innovative automation and advanced manufacturing solutions through engineering design, prototype development, system integration, testing, and technical evaluation. The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and industry partners to deliver research and industrial projects.



Key Responsibilities


  • Conduct engineering design, analysis, and prototype development for automation and advanced manufacturing projects.

  • Support system integration, testing, validation, commissioning, and technical troubleshooting.

  • Prepare engineering drawings, technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Work with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and research partners to support project execution.

  • Conduct experiments, analyse results, and implement design improvements.

  • Ensure engineering activities comply with project, quality, and safety requirements.

Job Requirements


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Robotics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.



Experience


  • Experience in automation, robotics, machine design, or product development is an advantage.

  • Experience in R&D, prototype development, or industrial projects will be an added advantage.



Technical Competencies


  • Mechanical design using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Siemens NX, AutoCAD).

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and engineering drawings.

  • Basic understanding of automation systems, robotics, sensors, and machine vision.

  • Familiarity with engineering testing and validation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
