Job summary

BASIL TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. is seeking a Report Developer to design, develop, and deploy reports for a stock trading system. You will collaborate with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

The role requires hands-on experience with PySpark, SQL, data transformation, ETL concepts, and reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI, or Tableau. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of experience in IT development, preferably in banking or financial services with minimal 3 years of report development experience.
• Lead to have experience in leading a team of minimum 6 members.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy ~100 reports for a stock trading system.
• Translate requirements into technical solutions with business analysts and stakeholders.
• Test and support UAT, address defects, and implement fixes promptly.
• Execute production deployment following change management processes and maintain deployment docs.
• Collaborate with Bank’s teams for access to systems and provide regular updates.

Role Overview

The Report Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying reports for a stock trading system. This role involves working closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Requirement Analysis:
• Collaborate with business teams to gather and validate reporting requirements.Understand data source mapping and transformation logic.
• Report Development:
• Design and implement ~100 reports using agreed tools and frameworks.Ensure reports meet documented business requirements and comply with BANK’S standards.
• Testing & UAT Support:
• Prepare test cases and validate reports during UAT.Address defects and implement fixes promptly.
• Deployment & Documentation:
• Execute production deployment following BANK’S change management processes.Maintain rollback plans and deployment documentation.
• Collaboration:
• Work with Bank’s teams for access to systems and environments. Provide regular updates and utilization reports as required.

RequiredSkills & Experience

• Strong experience in report development for financial or trading systems.
• Proficiency in PySpark, SQL, data transformation, and ETL concepts.
• Hands-on experience with reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
• Familiarity with stock trading workflows and financial data structures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues during UAT and production deployment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
