Job summary

Reboot Monkey, a global leader in IT solutions, seeks Freelance Data Center Technicians to deliver on-demand support for our data centers worldwide. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain servers and networking gear, and manage both Linux and Windows environments to ensure peak performance.

Ideal candidates have deep data center expertise, Cisco/Juniper experience, and the ability to work independently with remote teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of data center operations experience.
• Ability to travel to data centers on short notice.
• Willingness to work nights and weekends if required.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work skills.
• Excellent communication for remote collaboration.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree in CS/IT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain servers, networking equipment, and other hardware to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
• Monitor data center operations remotely and on-site, diagnosing hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking devices including Cisco and Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Manage Linux and Windows-based systems, applying updates, patches, and security enhancements.
• Document installations, repairs, maintenance tasks, and system performance for remote management reports.
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect data center infrastructure.
• Collaborate with remote IT teams, vendors, and stakeholders on projects.
