Job summary

Pearson Carter seeks a hands-on Business Analyst / QA Engineer to join our product and engineering team. You’ll translate requirements into clear user stories and process flows while ensuring new features are thoroughly tested before release.

You’ll gather requirements, map processes, design test plans and perform manual testing across web and mobile apps in an Agile setting. Strong BA and QA skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Business Analysis experience within software/product environments.
• Hands-on manual QA experience across web applications and mobile testing.
• Experience with REST API testing, ideally using Postman, Swagger or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of requirements, acceptance criteria, process flows and defect management.
• Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum teams and participating in sprint ceremonies.

Responsibilities

• Gather and document requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and functional specifications.
• Map end-to-end processes using workflow, swimlane and decision-flow diagrams.
• Create test plans, test cases and scripts across functional, regression, integration and UAT testing.
• Perform hands-on manual testing across web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document and manage defects through to resolution, including reproduction steps and root-cause analysis.
• Test REST APIs and third-party integrations, validating endpoints, data payloads and error handling.
• Work closely with developers, product managers and operations teams throughout Agile/Scrum delivery.
• Identify gaps in requirements, documentation and test coverage and drive improvements to delivery quality.
