NEA's Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Group is Singapore's national authority for radiation protection. The Regulation Division administers and enforces the Radiation Protection Act and Regulations through licensing, inspection, and enforcement.

We are seeking a capable regulatory professional to administer the Act, review EPR plans, conduct site inspections, and develop policies to safeguard the public, workers and environment from radiation risks.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Physics or a radiation-related discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in ionising radiation, radiation protection, or EPR.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical, writing and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
• Adaptable with a positive work attitude.
• Knowledge in legal and regulatory matters would be an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Administer the Radiation Protection Act and its Regulations, and ensure regulatory compliance across all radiation users.
• Establish regulatory requirements and guidelines for licensees' on-site Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) plans, and review plans for compliance and adequacy.
• Review and enhance the regulatory regime through benchmarking and analysis of international best practices.
• Evaluate radiation protection, security, transport and radioactive waste management plans for regulatory compliance.
• Develop regulatory policies, guidance and technical documents for safe and secure use of radiation in industrial and medical facilities.
• Conduct site inspections, investigate regulatory issues, and provide technical advice on radiation protection matters.
• Collaborate with industry stakeholders, international organisations, consultants as well as local and foreign government agencies.
