NEA National Environment Agency in Singapore is seeking a Senior Scientific Officer in the Ionising Radiation Control Department to enforce radiation safety regulations and advance the national radiation protection framework. You will administer the Radiation Protection Act, review EPR plans, and develop regulatory policies for safe use of radiation in industrial and medical facilities.

Responsabilidades

• Administer Radiation Protection Act and Regulations, and ensure regulatory compliance across radiation users.
• Establish requirements and guidelines for licensees' on-site Emergency Preparedness and Response plans, and review plans for adequacy.
• Review and enhance regulatory regime through benchmarking and international best practices.
• Evaluate radiation protection, security, transport and waste management plans for regulatory compliance.
• Develop regulatory policies, guidance and technical documents for safe and secure use of radiation.
• Conduct site inspections, investigate regulatory issues, and provide technical advice on radiation protection matters.
• Collaborate with industry stakeholders, international organisations, and government agencies.
