Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• 8-10 years of experience in Ocean Freight Forwarding, including proven Trade Management expertise.
• Strong commercial acumen with a strategic, customer-focused, and results-oriented mindset.
• Effective negotiation, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven leadership experience managing virtual, cross-functional, and multicultural teams within a multinational environment.
• Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to lead internal and external stakeholders.
• Established carrier network and strong industry relationships.
• Comfortable operating in a complex corporate environment and driving initiatives with regional impact.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20%).

Responsibilities

• Define and drive trade strategies and growth trade lanes.
• Ensure FCL budgeted business development in the assigned trades by setting and agreeing appropriate goals with carriers, countries, and partner regions.
• Negotiate rates and other conditions with carriers and conclude Service Contracts in line with global strategy.
• Drive optimization of local charges across the region.
• Lead, guide, strengthen and grow the regional trade management team and create next level leaders.
• Allocation management for export trades: set up allocations, maintain agreements, manage supply and demand, ensure processes.
• Monitor volumes and take corrective actions to optimize GP and carrier incentives.
• Volume pricing across Port-to-Port lanes and cooperation with Growth Team for SME and Large RFQs.
• Engage with key customers and sponsor relationship growth; participate in global projects as needed.
