Job description

Our client is a leading international food ingredients company looking to appoint a Regional Technical Services Manager (Food Ingredients) to be based in Singapore. This is a regional role supporting customers and distributor partners across Asia, combining hands‑on technical and application expertise with a strategic understanding of markets, customers and commercial opportunities.

The successful candidate does not necessarily need to come directly from a dairy ingredients supplier. Of greater importance is strong technical and applications experience within the dairy category, together with the ability to apply this knowledge across different dairy ingredients and solutions.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will serve as a regional technical expert, working closely with customers, distributors, Sales and R&D to provide technical support and develop application solutions across the dairy category. This will include hands‑on involvement in formulations, customer trials, product demonstrations, troubleshooting and application development, while translating customer and market needs into commercially relevant solutions.

Beyond day‑to‑day technical support, the individual will play an important role in identifying new application and market opportunities across the region. The role will work closely with distributor partners to strengthen their technical capabilities, conduct training and application workshops, and support them in addressing customer needs throughout the sales cycle.

Working within a regional and global matrix, the individual will also connect customer insights with R&D and commercial teams, helping to shape technical priorities and support the development of the dairy ingredients business across Asia. Regional travel will be required for customer engagement, technical support and distributor development.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced food technologist or applications professional with a strong track record in regional technical service, application development or customer technical support within the dairy category.

Direct experience working for a dairy ingredients company would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates from broader food ingredients, dairy products or related businesses will also be considered, provided they bring strong transferable expertise in dairy formulations, processing and applications.

The successful candidate should be comfortable operating at both a hands‑on and strategic level - able to work directly with customers on technical challenges while also understanding market trends, identifying opportunities and translating technical capabilities into commercial value.

Strong customer engagement and presentation skills, experience working with distributors and cross‑functional teams, and the ability to operate effectively across different Asian markets will be important. The position is based in Singapore, with regular regional travel expected.
